Embark on an enriching trek to Basecamp Gondogoro, nestled in the majestic Karakoram Mountain range. Spanning from 600 meters to a maximum of 4680 meters, this journey offers stunning vistas and an unforgettable experience. Ideal for trekking from June to September, the adventure begins in Islamabad, continuing through Skardu with an overnight stay in Chilas along the iconic Karakoram Highway. From Skardu, a thrilling 140km Jeep ride awaits to the picturesque village of Hushe, a gateway to various Karakoram expeditions and treks.

As you trek, traverse breathtaking landscapes, passing by summer camps of shepherds and the confluence of Gondogoro and Charakusa Rivers. Crossing a wooden bridge leads you to Shaieshcho, a charming shepherd's settlement adorned with a mosque. Continuing onward, you'll reach Dalzampa, known as the "field of flowers," nestled at approximately 4150m. Here, two serene lakes mirror the majestic Masherbrum Mountain and its cascading glacier, offering tranquil reflections amid the wilderness.

This trek promises an awe-inspiring adventure amidst the natural beauty and grandeur of the Karakoram Range, allowing you to immerse yourself in the untamed wilderness and create lasting memories.

Included in the cost:

  • Transportation from the airport or by road in an air-conditioned coach or four-wheel-drive jeep.
  • Accommodation in hotels and all meals provided during the trip.
  • All meals provided during the trekking adventure.
  • Provision of sleeping tents, mattresses, kitchen facilities, toilet tents, and mess tents equipped with tables and stools.
  • Supply of kitchen equipment, crockery, fuel, and other necessary camping gear.
  • Services of an English-speaking guide, cook, and low-altitude porters.
  • Allowance of 10 kg for personal baggage during the trek.
  • Porterage services at airports, hotels, toll taxes, and parking fees.
  • Trekking fees (US$ 150 per person) and assistance with permit processing.
  • Insurance coverage for our field staff, porters, and other team members.

Not included in the cost:

  • International and domestic airfare, including airport taxes, and any charges for excess baggage.
  • Sleeping bags and personal clothing or equipment specific to trekking needs.
  • Additional expenses at hotels such as beverages, laundry services, and phone calls.
  • Travel insurance liability and coverage for unforeseen circumstances, including medical assistance and helicopter rescue services.
Day 01 

Arrive in Islamabad and attend a briefing with the Ministry of Tourism. Spend the night at Shalimar or a similar hotel.

Day 02 

Attempt to fly to Skardu or drive to Chilas if the flight is canceled. Stay overnight in Skardu or Chilas, depending on travel arrangements.

Day 03 

Free day in Skardu or travel from Chilas to Skardu by road. Overnight at a hotel in Skardu.

Day 04 

Drive to Hushe and spend the night camping.

Day 05 

Begin trekking to Shaieshcho (3330m) and camp overnight.

Day 06 

Continue trekking to Gondogoro Camp (3950m) and camp overnight.

Day 07 

Trek to Dalzampa (4300m) and camp overnight.

Day 08 

Trek to Khuspang (4680m) and camp overnight.

Day 09 

Free day at Khuspang to enjoy the surroundings. Camp overnight.

Day 10 

Trek back to Shaieshcho and camp overnight.

Day 11 

Trek back to Hushe and camp overnight.

Day 12 

Drive back to Skardu and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 13 

Fly from Skardu to Islamabad or drive to Chilas if the flight is canceled. Stay overnight in Islamabad.

Day 14 

Attend a debriefing with the Ministry of Tourism or complete the road journey from Chilas to Islamabad.

Day 15 

Departure from Islamabad.
